The Antigua & Barbuda Port Authority has made some very important upgrades to the Marine’s Environment
This operation began in October, 2015 when we upgraded the lighting & marking of the channel and also did the replacement of the buoys in the Turn Basin.
The re-positioning of navigational aids at Fort James, Pillar Rock, Michael’s Mount and Market Square was from carried out October, 2015 to February, 2016, the buoys at Warrenton’s Bank was also replaced. Markers at Deep Bay and Lollipoint were initiated less than five months between the months of October, 2015 to February, 2016.
For the First time ever, a large lighting investment was made at Sandy Island in December 2015. We are currently charting the Crabbs Channel which will ameliorate our marine’s environment!
